<p>Provided is an ultrasound generation device that is resistant to piezoelectric-body breakage even if used in a high-temperature environment with a temperature of 35°C or greater. An ultrasound generation device (1) provided with the following: an ultrasound generation element (14) containing piezoelectric transducers (17, 19) that have piezoelectric bodies comprising a piezoelectric ceramic; and a housing (13) that contains said ultrasound generation element (14) and has sound-wave emission holes (12a-12d). Said ultrasound generation device (1) is designed such that sound waves emitted due to vibration of the piezoelectric transducers (17, 19) resonate, with the sound-wave emission holes (12a-12d) acting as open ends in said resonance. Within a temperature range that is greater than or equal to 35°C but less than the Curie temperature of the abovementioned piezoelectric ceramic, the resonant frequency of the piezoelectric transducers (17, 19) is approximately equal to the acoustic-resonance frequency thereof.</p> |
