摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device driving method capable of effectively trapping an ionic impurity in a liquid crystal layer, a liquid crystal device, and an electronic apparatus including the liquid crystal device.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal device 100 comprises: a display area E1 as a first region in which a pixel electrode 15 and a common electrode 23 facing the pixel electrode 15 with a liquid crystal layer 50 interposed therebetween are formed; and a dummy pixel region E2 as a second region in which dummy pixel electrodes 121, 122 as first electrode are formed. A driving method of the liquid crystal device 100 includes applying a voltage for changing transmissivity of a liquid crystal and smaller than a threshold voltage between the dummy pixel electrodes 121, 122 and the common electrode 23. This allows the dummy pixel electrodes 121, 122 to function as an electron-parting portion 120 and the ionic impurity to be attracted from the display area E1 to the dummy pixel electrodes 121, 122.
