<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor with high durability that exhibits extremely high wear resistance after repeated use, provides high-quality images with less image failure for a long period, and has excellent environmental stability and gas resistance, as well as an image forming method, an image forming apparatus, and a process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes at least a photosensitive layer on a conductive support. The outermost surface layer of the photosensitive layer is formed of a three-dimensional cross-linked film obtained through polymerization of a compound having three or more [(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl groups on an aromatic ring of a charge transporting compound by reaction in which a part of the [(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl group is cleaved and eliminated. An index that indicates the remaining amount of the [(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl groups in the three-dimensional cross-linked film satisfies a specific conditional expression. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
