<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid laser of a simple structure suitable for miniaturization and for simple adjustment work which can generate a pump light of a single longitudinal mode. <P>SOLUTION: A solid laser 1 for generating a pump light by an excitation light and for outputting a laser beam of a different wavelength from the excitation light comprises: a laser crystal 4 for generating a pump light by the excitation light; and a resonator mirror 5 positioned to face against the laser crystal 4 for reflecting the pump light by an end surface S4 on the side opposite to the laser crystal 4. A first resonator 6 to resonate the pump light is formed by an end surface S1 of the laser crystal 4 on the side opposite to the resonator mirror 5 and the end surface S4 of the resonator mirror 5 on the side opposite to the laser crystal 4. A second resonator 7 to resonate a part of the pump light resonated by the first resonator 6 is formed by an end surface S3 of the resonator mirror 5 on the side of the laser crystal 4 and the end surface S4 of the resonator mirror 5 on th side opposite to the laser crystal 4.
