<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an object that exists outside an own vehicle accurately.SOLUTION: An object detection device 10 comprises: a radar device 11 mounted in a vehicle 1; an object determining section 21 which detects an object that exists outside the vehicle 1 the radar device 11; and an extrapolation section 23 which, in the case where detection of the object by the object determining section 21 is interrupted, predicts a position of the object by extrapolation using the position of an object detected by the object determining section 21 in the past. The extrapolation section 23 uses a correlation between a distance from the vehicle 1 to the object and a reception level of electromagnetic wave by the radar device 11, and makes the allowable frequency of extrapolation in a distance having low reception level relatively larger than the allowable frequency of extrapolation in a distance having high reception level.</p> |
