PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device capable of attaining power saving even in the state where a display section is turned on, and capable of effectively preventing a display screen from being flickered with power saving.SOLUTION: A portable terminal device 1 comprises a display section 2 which displays information on a display screen. In the case where a predetermined power saving condition is detected by condition detection means (CPU 5 and timer 10), a pixel clock frequency is changed by frequency change means (CPU 5) at least to be lower than that before the detection of the power saving condition. Further, a gradation of at least any color displayed on the display section 2 is changed by gradation change means (CPU 5) to be lower than that before the detection of the power saving condition, and a light source is adjusted by luminance adjustment means (CPU 5) to reduce illumination rather than that before the detection of the power saving condition. |
