PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer capacitor that prevents acoustic noise.SOLUTION: A capacitor body 10 comprises: a capacitance formation portion 10k; a first outer layer portion 10m; and a second outer layer portion 10n. First and second internal electrodes 11 and 12 are provided in the capacitance formation portion 10k. The first outer layer portion 10m is located closer to a first primary surface 10a side than to the capacitance formation portion 10k. The second outer portion 10n is located closer to a second primary surface 10b side than to the capacitance formation portion 10k. The second outer layer portion 10n includes a restriction layer 10n1 and a buffer layer 10n2. The restriction layer 10n1 has higher Young's modulus than the capacitance formation portion 10k. The buffer layer 10n2 is provided between the restriction layer 10n1 and the capacitance formation portion 10k. The buffer layer 10n2 has lower Young's modulus than the restriction layer 10n1.
