PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fabric which is made rich in flexible stretchability (extensibility) while being made to have heat retaining property by providing sufficient volume in the thickness of the fabric and can be thereby appropriately used when clothing allowing a wearer to easily move is made, for example; and to provide a knitted structure which does not cause trouble such as snagging or the extension of fraying of a fabric due to the occurrence of a run while being made rich in stretchability.SOLUTION: A fabric is knitted in such a way that a direction of running a yarn during knitting is set to a course direction, and a plurality of yarn feeders are provided in the course direction. In the fabric, a repeat knitting structure includes: tuck courses 3 formed by tuck knitting; and plating courses 5 formed by plating knitting of an elastic yarn 10 and a non-elastic yarn 11 in such a way that at least one of them is double knitted. In addition, there is no course formed only by single knitting in the repeat knitting structure. |
