PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film which less likely causes display irregularity when assembled in a liquid crystal display device and which less likely causes bleed-out.SOLUTION: A cellulose acetate film is provided, which comprises a cellulose acetate having an acetyl substitution degree of 2.40 to 2.60 and a polycondensation ester including an aromatic dicarboxylic acid residue and an aliphatic diol residue. In the polycondensation ester, a proportion of the aromatic dicarboxylic acid in dicarboxylic acids is 40 mol% or more; a terminal of the polycondensation ester and a structure of the aliphatic diol satisfy the following expression (1) or (2); and the polycondensation ester is included in an amount of 60 to 120 pts.mass relative to 100 pts.mass of the cellulose acetate. A change in an equilibrium moisture content percentage before and after a water treatment measured by a Karl Fischer method under specific conditions is 0.8 mass% or less. (1) The terminal of the polycondensation ester is capped with at least one specific organic acid such as acetic acid, and an average carbon number of the aliphatic diol is 2 to 2.3. (2) The terminal of the polycondensation ester is a hydroxyl group, and an average carbon number of the aliphatic diol is 2.4 to 2.8. |
