<p>An apparatus (1) for manually cutting a tube (2), said apparatus (1) comprising a body (3) delimiting an opening (4) for engaging said tube (2) between a cutting member (7) and a bearing and abutment member (8), one of said members (7, 8) being irremovably secured to a manoeuvring screw (6) to be moved in translation and brought into contact with the tube (2) up against the other member (8, 7). According to the invention, the apparatus comprises a thumbwheel (9) rigidly connected to the manouevring screw (6), the thumbwheel (9) comprising a series of teeth (9a) capable of being engaged with a pinion (10) that meshes with a worm screw (12) brought into rotation by a handle (13) in order to move the apparatus (1) in a circular manner around the tube (2) that is fixed and in contact with the cutting member (7), causing said pinion (10) and the manouevring screw (6) to be brought into rotation concomitantly in order to move the cutting member (7) or bearing member (8) linearly towards the tube (2), concomitantly resulting in the cutting of the tube (2).</p> |
