PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quay crane which reduces shifting of the gravity center position by arranging drive units or a machinery room housing the drive units in an area outside an outer-side surface of a leg structure so that a slide type boom and the upper part relative to the uppermost part of the leg structure are located lower and the position of the drive units is thus fixed to the leg structure during cargo handling and a rest time, and the gravity center position of the quay crane can be lowered, leading to improvement of earthquake resistance.SOLUTION: First drive units 14a including at least one drum 10 letting out a wire W connected to a hoisting accessory 9 or taking up the wire W is fixed to an upper portable tie-beam 16a for fixation of a machinery room which connects the support leg 5a of a sea-side leg part 6a to the support leg 5b of the land-side leg part 6b and arranged in an area RA outside the outer-side surface of a leg structure 3 so that the upper part of the first drive units 14a is located lower than a shuttle boom and the uppermost part of the leg structure 3. |
