[Class 37] A combined electric lamp and battery tester comprises a container a housing a battery or transformer tapped to give various voltages for testing different lamps, the tappings being connected to terminals c, mounted, adjacent a common terminal bar d, on a panel b closing the container, lamps being tested for continuity by applying the central terminal thereof to bar d and the side terminal thereof to the appropriate terminal c. Batteries are tested by bridging the terminals thereof acroas either fixed contacts g, g<SP>1</SP> or across g and a spring-biassed rotatably mounted terminal arm h whereby batteries of various sizes may be accommodated, their voltage being indicated by the degree of illumination of a lamp l mounted on the panel. According to the Provisional Specification, meters may be used to indicate the condition of the lamps and batteries under test. |
