FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiology. Disclosed is a Pseudomonas stutzeri VKPM V-11230 bacteria strain which is a decomposer of aliphatic and aromatic petroleum hydrocarbons and a plant growth stimulant in association with plants. Disclosed is use of said strain to decompose hydrocarbon contaminants in oil-contaminated soil and petrochemical sludge, for in situ phytoremediation of petrochemical sludge and oil-contaminated soil, including in conditions with high content of hydrocarbons and accompanying contamination with heavy metals.EFFECT: strain is used to produce indoleacetic acid in association with plants for stimulating plant growth and for fixing nitrogen from the atmosphere in phytoremediation of media with nitrogen deficit.8 cl, 1 tbl
