<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device which achieves low manufacturing costs and downsizing, and to provide a medium transfer device.SOLUTION: An image reading device 1 includes: a housing 30 where a first introduction port 11, a second introduction port 12, and a discharge port 13 are formed; a first guide section 10; a second guide section 20; a reading section 55 which is disposed closer to the discharge port 13 side than a merging position J1; first rotation members 111F, 111R which contact with a medium SH inserted from the first introduction port 11 and thereby rotate so as to move close to the discharge port 13; first sensors 112F, 112R which detect rotations of the first rotation members 111F, 111R; a second rotation member 121R which contacts with a medium CA inserted from a second insertion port 12 and thereby rotates so as to move close to the discharge port 13, the second rotation member 121R which contacts with the medium SH inserted from the first insertion port 11 and thereby rotates so as to move close to the discharge port 13; and a second sensor 122R which detects rotations of the second rotation member 121R.</p> |
