A vehicular alert device (1) includes: a sensor unit (11) that detects an approach of a passenger's hand to an open/close operation portion (H) and transmits an operation detection signal; a vehicle detection means that detects another vehicle approaching from the rear and transmits a vehicle detection signal; a vibration means (12) that vibrates the open/close operation portion (H); a lamp unit (14) that is mounted to a pillar (P) and that displays a warning sign by emission of light; and an ECU. The ECU activates the vibration means and causes the lamp unit to display the warning sign upon reception of the vehicle detection signal and the operation detection signal, thereby preventing the passenger from opening a door member when the other vehicle is approaching. |
