PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antibodies capable of binding specifically to the human insulin-like growth factor I receptor (IGF-IR) and/or capable of specifically inhibiting the tyrosine kinase activity of said IGF-IR for use in treatment of tumors by simultaneously blocking two receptors.SOLUTION: The invention provides an isolated antibody capable of specifically binding to the human insulin-like growth factor I receptor IGF-IR. The antibody comprises a light chain and a heavy chain, where the light chain comprises three complementarity determining regions CDRs of specific sequences and where the heavy chain comprises three CDRs of specific sequences. The invention also provides a hybridoma that secretes the antibody, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising as an active principle a compound comprising the antibody produced by the hybridoma.
