Disclosed is an inter-layer video decoding method comprising the steps of: reconstructing a first layer image on the basis of encoding information of the first layer image acquired from bitstreams; splitting a maximum encoding unit of a second layer image into one or more encoding units on the basis of split information of the second layer image acquired from the bitstreams; splitting the encoding unit into one or more prediction units for a predicted decoding; and determining whether to use a predetermined encoding tool on the basis of at least one of a prediction mode of a current prediction unit, size information, and color depth information, and decoding the current prediction unit by using the predetermined encoding tool according to whether to use the predetermined encoding tool.
