PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress color shift due to phase shift of a photoconductor drum when an intermediate transfer belt is moved, while preventing deformation of the intermediate transfer belt resulting from its movement.SOLUTION: A CPU 40 moves an intermediate transfer belt 8 by a predetermined amount by a motor 39K to perform processing to reduce deformation of the intermediate transfer belt 8, and controls the rotation of the motor 39K or the motor 39C so that rotational phase of a photoconductor drum 1k for black has predetermined phase relationships relative to other photoconductor drums 1y, 1m, and 1c according to the rotational phase of the photoconductor drum 1k for black when the intermediate transfer belt 8 is moved by the predetermined amount. |
