PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device, a composition assisting device, a composition assisting method, and a composition assisting program, capable of presenting an appropriate photographing composition (including a photographing composition not known by a user) depending on a subject to a user, by a simple operation.SOLUTION: An imaging device 1 comprises: a subject DB 12 storing data configured by associating an image feature amount and a subject type with each other; a composition DB 14 storing data configured by associating the subject type and composition assist information with each other; a determination part 4 determining the subject type of photographed image data on the basis of the image feature amount extracted from the photographed image data and the data stored in the subject DB 12; a retrieval part 6 detecting the composition assist information depending on the photographed image data from the composition DB 14 on the basis of the subject type; a priority setting part 8 setting a priority for the composition assist information on the basis of a difference between pieces of characteristic information extracted from the photographed image data and sample image data related to the composition assist information; and a display part 10 displaying the composition assist information depending on the priority. |
