Support for a recording material

The invention relates to a multilayer support (base, carrier, substrate) for the lamination of a recording material having a photocurable polymer layer, where the support has a pigment-containing binder layer on the surface facing the photocurable polymer layer and a release layer, which simplifies detachment from a carrier coated with a contact adhesive, on the surface facing away from the photocurable polymer layer. This support is characterised in that the release layer contains, as binder, a) a polyurethane to which a pigment has been added, or b) a mixture of a polyurethane and a polyacrylate to which a pigment has optionally been added. If, before the lamination of the recording material, this support is laminated with the reverse of a thick cardboard or a correspondingly thick plastic film, particularly favourable registration retention is ensured, which has an advantageous effect on the reproduction results of the print image.
