PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform processing related to discharge and processing related to communication filling after stopping a fuel cell system in an appropriate manner.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system comprises: a hydrogen supply pipe for connecting a hydrogen tank and a stack; a main stop valve provided in the hydrogen supply pipe; and an infrared transmitter for transmitting a data signal indicating the state of the hydrogen tank to the outside. EGR stop processing opens the main stop valve to continue power generation and discharge by the stack after a stop command to the system. Communication charging charges hydrogen gas supplied by an external hydrogen station into the hydrogen tank while transmitting a data signal indicating the state of the hydrogen tank to the hydrogen station in response to output of a charging command. If a command to start communication charging is issued during execution of EGR stop processing, the fuel cell system starts communication charging after closing the main stop valve, and interrupts the EGR stop processing. Then, after completion of the communication charging, the fuel cell system resumes the EGR stop processing. |
