PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo refrigerator capable of sufficiently cooling a bearing and a speed-increasing gear used in a compressor while preventing degradation in the efficiency of the refrigerator.SOLUTION: A turbo refrigerator includes: a cooling refrigerant line 19 introducing a part of refrigerant condensed by a condenser 2 to an evaporator 3; an oil cooler 20 causing heat exchange between the refrigerant flowing in the cooling refrigerant line 19 and oil used in a turbo compressor 1; a flow regulating valve 24 regulating a flow volume of the refrigerant flowing into the oil cooler 20; a refrigerant temperature measuring instrument 26 measuring a temperature of the refrigerant flowing out from the oil cooler 20; and a control unit 10 controlling an opening of the flow regulating valve 24 on the basis of a difference between the temperature of the refrigerant measured by the refrigerant temperature measuring instrument 26 and a saturation temperature of the refrigerant. |
