PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure body of a segment structure which is easily manufactured and can effectively suppress the movement of a honeycomb segment due to vibrations upon usage and pressure discharge.SOLUTION: A plurality of honeycomb segments 2, in which a first edge surface and a second edge surface assume a rectangle having the same size, have such positional relationship that directions of extension of respective length sides cross orthogonally to each other, have a relation of (X-Y)/2=0.2 to 7 mm when the length of length side of the first edge surface and the length of length side of the second edge surface are X and the length of width length of the first edge surface and the length of width length of the second edge surface are Y, and a pair of first tapered lateral surfaces consisting of two lateral surfaces opposed such that the interval gets narrower from the first edge surface side toward the second edge surface side and a pair of second tapered lateral surfaces consisting of two lateral surfaces opposed such that the interval gets narrower from the second edge surface side toward the first edge surface side are provided, are arranged so as to satisfy predetermined conditions. |
