A backlight module, a liquid crystal display and a backlight source drive control method. The backlight module comprises: an LED backlight source and a drive circuit, wherein the LED backlight source comprises a first LED formed of a blue-light chip, a red fluorescent powder and a green fluorescent powder, and a second LED formed of a blue-light chip, a green-light chip and the red fluorescent powder; and the drive circuit comprises a drive circuit module respectively driving the first LED and the second LED. The liquid crystal display comprises: the backlight module and a display panel.
