<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for registering a subscriber side device capable of setting a standby time of an unregistered ONU in each transmission wavelength corresponding to change in DBA cycle in a TDM/WDM-PON and consequently capable of completing discovery sequence early.SOLUTION: A plurality of termination devices periodically transmit a band allocation signal to all of subscriber side devices in a first cycle. At least one of the termination devices transmit a response request signal to all of the subscriber side devices in a second cycle which is an integral multiple of the first cycle. Then, an unregistered subscriber side device having received a plurality of band allocation signals specifies the first cycle on the basis of a reception interval at which the band allocation signals were received, and calculates the second cycle on the basis of the first cycle. Next, the unregistered subscriber side device periodically changes the transmission wavelength of a variable wavelength filter in a cycle longer than the calculated second cycle. The unregistered subscriber side device having received the response request signal and one of the termination devices execute a registration process.</p> |
