PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of easily detecting wrong assembly of an optical fiber core wire without troublesome confirmation work such as inspecting light conduction.SOLUTION: An optical connector 11 includes: a plurality of optical fiber core wires 13 whose color for identification is set; a ferrule connected to a tip part of the optical fiber core wires 13; a housing 17 for accommodating the ferrule; a ferrule holding member 19 that is mounted in a housing to position and hold the ferrule and the optical fiber core wires 13 in the housing; a plurality of fiber insertion grooves that are recessed at a side surface of the holding member of the ferrule holding member for accommodating each of the optical fiber core wires 13; fiber core wire color check holes 23 that are drilled at a bottom wall part 59 of the fiber insertion groove for confirming a color of the fiber core wire of the optical fiber core wires 13; and a confirmation hole expression opening 29 provided in the housing 17 corresponded to the fiber core wire color check hole 23. |
