PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of allowing cool air to act effectively on a person in a room, and capable of preventing heat stroke more effectively, in a case where a cooling operation is performed as there is danger of heat stroke.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes: heat stroke danger condition determination means for determining whether it is under a heat stroke danger condition or not based on detection temperature detected by indoor temperature detection means and detection humidity detected by indoor humidity detection means; and control means. When the heat stroke danger condition determination means determines that it is under the heat stroke danger condition, the control means notifies that it is under the heat stroke danger condition by notification means, and starts a cooling operation. An indoor unit includes: a wind direction plate for controlling the direction of cool air blown out of a blowing port during a cooling operation; and wind direction plate drive means for driving the wind direction plate. When the heat stroke danger condition determination means determines that it is under the heat stroke danger condition and the cooling operation is started, the control means makes the wind direction plate swing by the wind direction plate drive means. |
