PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of reducing a difference in temperature generated on the surface of a fixing member even when the fixing device includes a shield member.SOLUTION: A fixing device 20 includes a rotatable fixing belt 21, a halogen heater 23 that heats the fixing belt with radiation heat, a pressure roller 22 that is brought into contact with an outer peripheral surface of the fixing belt to form a nip part N, and a shield member 27 that shields heat from the halogen heater. In the fixing device, at the start of image formation, the shield member 27 is moved after the heating by the halogen heater is started, so as to change a radiation range of the radiation heat. |
