The construction machine (10) has a boom (20) which is mounted pivotably on a carrier unit (12). An erection support (40) erects and holds the boom by a guy cable (18) tensioned between the boom and the erection support. A cable support (30) has an attachment point (32) for arranging the safety cable (28) at a head end (21) of the boom, and the attachment point (44) for providing the safety cable on the erection support. The safety cable is tensioned between the attachment point on the cable support and the attachment point on the erection support along the boom for securing user.
