The present invention relates to Gleditsia sinensis Lam extracts and products comprising the same as an effective component. By using Gleditsia sinensis Lam extracts which can effectively inhibit an increase of osteoclast cell activity which is a major cause of bone diseases which are brought about imbalance caused by an increase of bone resorption to bone formation in bone remodeling, the present invention can be usefully applied to a pharmaceutical composition, fermented milk, or health functional foods which can help an improvement of bone diseases of the elderly or bone diseases caused by menopause of women.
