A face recognition service providing method is provided. The face recognition service providing method comprises; a step of receiving user face image data recorded from one or more face registration terminals or one or more face recognition terminals; a step of detecting data corresponding to a face area from the received face image data; a step of digitizing one or more quality elements corresponding to the detected face area based on the quality elements to check whether the detected face area is suitable for sample data for face recognition or not; and a step of setting the detected face area as the sample data for the face recognition if the digitalized quality elements satisfy a predetermined standard.
