PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically cause, when specifying one image forming apparatus of a plurality of different types of image forming apparatuses with a common interface, and if the image forming apparatus cannot start a submitted print job, another image forming apparatus to perform substitute printing.SOLUTION: A system for providing a common interface expands a table for managing jobs, and manages information on an image forming apparatus of a substitute destination and an image forming apparatus before the substitution in association with each other, so as to make it possible to track the status of automatic substitute and print jobs. The system puts priority on substitute conditions for each print job described in a job ticket rather than substitute conditions set for each image forming apparatus, so as to make it possible to change the substitute conditions for each print job. |
