PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient conveyance without any printing failure in a label printer which has an image formation part, a flexure formation part, and a cutter arranged in order, and performs cutting operation by utilizing a time in which flexure is formed between the image formation part and cutter.SOLUTION: An image formation device includes: a first driving member R2 which drives conveyance means arranged opposite a printing head 2 so as to convey a printing medium L to a printing position 30 of a printing head 2; cutting means 6 of cutting the printing medium L having passed the printing position 30; a second driving member R3 which is provided between the printing position 30 and cutting means in a conveyance path to the cutting means 6; and control means Ctr of controlling driving of the first driving member R2 and the second driving member R3. The control means Ctr stops the second driving member R3 during cutting operation by the cutting means 6 so as to make the printing medium L flex, and controls the driving speed of the first driving member R2 to a speed, slower than a printing-time speed, such that flexure of the form is smaller than a predetermined amount. |
