A method and system for providing a finite impulse response, FIR, filter in a power amplification system are disclosed. An FIR filter includes a first signal path having a first delay, τ1. The first signal path is configured to receive an output from a power amplifier. A second signal path is in parallel with the first signal path has a second delay, τ2, and a first scalar multiplier, α1. A third signal path in parallel with the first and second signal paths has a third delay, τ3, and a second scalar multiplier, α2. The second and third signal paths are configured to receive a sum of the output of the power amplifier and a reference signal. Delays τ1, τ2, and τ3 are integer multiples of a period of time. An output is a sum of a signal from each of the first, second and third signal paths. |
