PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a multi-layer confectionery composition.SOLUTION: The method includes: (A) providing a co-extruder 116 having at least a first supply port and a second supply port; and (B) co-extruding a first confectionery composition 102 and a second confectionery composition 104 from the co-extruder 116 to form a continuous multi-layer rope 120. The co-extruding includes extruding a multi-layer rope having three continuous layers. The first confectionery composition 102 is extruded as separate layers, and the second confectionery composition 104 is extruded as an intermediate layer, which is inserted between the separate layers made of the first confectionery composition. The multi-layer rope 120 is cooled to 20°C to 40°C at the downstream of the co-extruder 116 so as to be sized and separated into pieces. |
