摘要 Methods and systems for using near field communication (NFC) protocol and logic to calibrate welding operations and systems are described. Further, methods and systems for using NFC logic and tags are described for networking, calibrating and linking components that comprise welding systems. More particularly, the invention provides a welding system (200) comprising a welder (202), a wire feeder (230), a welding torch (240), a first NFC tag (206) attached to the welder (202) that generates a first signal indicative of calibration data for the welder (202); a second NFC tag (236) attached to the wire feeder (230) that generates a second signal indicative of calibration data for the wire feeder (230); and a third NFC tag (248) attached to the welding torch (240) that generates a third signal indicative of calibration data for the welding torch (240).
