PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting apparatus which can prevent a maintenance section from contacting a configuration member, such as a liquid ejecting head and the like, when attaching or detaching the maintenance section for maintaining the liquid ejecting head.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a liquid ejecting head 31 having a nozzle formed surface 31a on which nozzles 36, capable of ejecting ink toward a sheet S, are formed; a support portion 34 capable of supporting the sheet S to which the ink is ejected; a carriage 32 capable of reciprocating in a scanning direction X with the liquid ejecting head 31 held; and a maintenance section 40 which is detachably mounted on a maintenance area MA outside the support portion 34 in the scanning direction X to execute maintenance on the liquid ejecting head 31. When the maintenance section 40 is attached or detached, the carriage 32 moves to a position where the carriage 32 does not face the maintenance section 40 and the nozzle formed surface 31a faces the support portion 34. |
