<p>An editor system is provided for customising graphical user interfaces used in personal devices such as wristop or diving computers by enabling a user to selectively display data and edit parameters on the user interface, e.g. physical variables such as dive time, depth, no compression time, tank pressure, temperature or color schemes. To edit the graphical user interface, having at least one display view, where a set of data fields are arranged in a predetermined manner on the display view, the editor system provides an editing mode for user access to a data field out of a set of data fields to allow user selection of parameters in this field. A list of parameter options valid for said field is displayed for selection by the user, the parameter value of which is to be displayed in said field. The list of options may be displayed in pop-up windows 31a-35a having radio buttons. Editing may be done on the device itself or on a computer system in communication with or connected to the device. Some parameters may be specified as mandatory. Editor software may include an option for a display simulation or preview.</p> |
