Disclosed are a power supply apparatus with a serial segment and a power supply method therefor. The present invention provides a power supply apparatus which includes a power supply part which supplies AC power; multiple power supply segments which are connected in series by receiving the AC power; multiple switch parts which are connected in parallel at both terminals of each power supply segment; and a control part which generates a control signal for controlling the switch part which is connected in parallel to at least one power supply segment to control the supply of the AC power with regard to the power segment among the power supply segments. |
