INTER-NETWORK ADDRESS RESOLUTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an inter-network address resolution system, with which a communication band and a throughput are enhanced by distributing a communication traffic to plural links with respect to an address solution request to one destination address set by a host protocol. SOLUTION: An inter-working unit(IWU) 7 is provided with plural communication ports connecting respectively to plural links of a network 1 and having different physical addresses. The IWU 7 selects one link among plural links with respect to an address resolution request from computers 3a, 3b with respect to a computer 6 contained in a network 4 and returns an address resolution reply whose resolution address is a physical address of a communication port connecting to the selected link to the computer making the address resolution request.
