The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a reed pipe having a pipe formed with holes to adjust a tune, and a mouthpiece, formed integrally with the pipe, for blowing air into the pipe by use of an eco-friendly material, of which the shape can be maintained for a long time, and the reed pipe manufactured by the same. The method includes the steps of: collecting reeds and reed roots; cutting the collected reeds by the length of 25 to 37 cm to prepare pipes; removing a thin membrane from the inside of the prepared pipe; making the pipe with no thin membrane straight by heat of 55 to 75°C; forming a mouthpiece and holes in the straight pipe; mixing 100 parts by weight of water and 60 to 80 parts by weight of glutinous rice to make a mixture, positioning the pipe formed with the mouthpiece and the holes over the mixture, and steaming the pipe at a temperature of 100 to 150°C for 90 to 150 minutes; pressing the mouthpiece of the steamed pipe by a tool having tongs; and mixing 100 parts by weight of water of 25 to 30°C and 20 to 30 parts by weight of salt to make salt water, immersing the pipe, against which the mouthpiece is pressed by the tool, into the salt water for 10 to 15 hours, and drying the pipe in the shape of 15 to 25°C to finish the reed pipe. |
