PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spun yarn that is excellent in lightness, heat-retaining properties, quick-drying properties, and iron-heat resistance and can be suitably used as a fiber structure such as a woven or knitted fabric or a nonwoven fabric.SOLUTION: The spun yarn contains polymethylpentene hollow fibers comprising polymethylpentene based resin, and has a twist factor K calculated by the following equation (I) of 1.3-6.5 when the number of twists is denoted by T (times/25.4 mm) and the English cotton count is denoted by N. It is preferable that the polymethylpentene hollow fiber has a hollowness of 5-40% in a cross-section of the spun yarn: (I) K=T/N. |
