The over load unit (1) has a sleeve (3) with a chamber (4) and an attachment piece pre-stressed in the chamber by a spring (5). The sleeve has a ramp (9) with a slope angle of 5 degrees to 80 degrees at a circumferential surface. The ramp increases in the direction of a longitudinal axis (11). The ramp extends in a radial direction (12) of the sleeve orthogonal to the longitudinal axis. The ramp has an extension (13) of 1 millimeter to 5 millimeter starting from the peripheral surface (7) in the radial direction of the sleeve. An independent claim is included for a thermostat valve with an expansion element.
