PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the capability of cooling an electric motor while suppressing an increase in the size of a housing.SOLUTION: A motor-driven compressor 10 has a housing 12 in which a rotating shaft 40, an electric motor (31, 34) and a compression mechanism 22 are stored. The housing 12 includes a partition wall part 18 for rotatably supporting the rotating shaft 40. The partition wall part 18 includes a protruded part 46 protruded toward a rotor 34. The protruded part 46 is located on the inner periphery side of a coil 32 while overlapping with the coil 32 in the radial direction. The protruded part 46 is opposed to a refrigerant flow path 39 of the rotor 34 while extending in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction. |
