The method involves modulating temperature of intake gas supplied to an engine in an adjustment phase intended for adjusting noise of combustion emitted by the engine. Turbocharging gas flow output from a turbocompressor is modified such as to act on temperature of turbocharging gases according to the temperature of the intake gas. A heat exchanger (24a) is designed for cooling the turbocharging gases according to a derivation level adjusted such as to vary the temperature of the turbocharging gases for causing the modification process. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a managing device for an internal combustion engine (2) a power unit for a car.
