<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cleaning blade from digging into a member to be cleaned non-uniformly in a longitudinal direction even if environmental temperature changes.SOLUTION: A cleaning device comprises a cleaning blade 120 which comes into linear contact with a surface of a rolling photoreceptor drum 2 to remove residues remaining thereon. The cleaning blade 120 is formed by laminating a first blade member 121 and a second blade member 122. A tip of the cleaning blade is displaced in a direction away from the surface of the photoreceptor drum 2 due to a difference in thermal expansion coefficient between the first and second blade members 121, 122 during temperature increase. The first blade member 121 has higher rigidity than the second blade member 122. Divided blade members 121a, 121b, 121c, 121d formed by dividing the first blade member 121 into a plurality of pieces are arranged at intervals along a direction of a line in contact with the photoreceptor drum 2.</p> |
