PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an information amount by urging a user to delete unnecessary information in a document management system for storing a computerized document. SOLUTION: A document management system includes: a client terminal 2 for transmitting a log-in request to the system; a Web server 3 for performing an authentication request based on authentication information included in the log-in request; a user information server 7 for authenticating the user based on the authentication information contained in the authentication request; a file server 4 for storing document information; a DB server 5 and an index server 6 for storing related information which are the information concerning the stored document information; and a management server 8 for generating the list of the document information which serves as a reducing candidate, based on a predetermined filtering condition so as to allow a storage medium to store the list.
