摘要 When first grooves are formed by irradiating a lower surface facing a light outgoing surface of a light guide plate for an illuminating device with laser beams, an outer circumferential region is firstly irradiated with the laser beams to form second grooves. Then, the second grooves are inspected. Next, irradiation conditions of the laser beams are adjusted based on an inspection result of the second grooves, irradiation positions of the laser beams are linearly displaced from formation positions of the second grooves, and formation of the first grooves in the scattering reflection region is then started.

A lighting device comprising: a light guide plate having a first surface as a light emitting surface, a plurality of side surfaces and a second surface which opposed to the first surface of the light guide plate; and a plurality of light emitting elements each of which has a light emission surface facing one of the plurality of side surfaces of the light guide plate, wherein a scattering reflection region in which a plurality of groove arrays including a plurality of first grooves linearly extending in a first direction, the plurality of groove arrays being arranged in a parallel manner in a second direction intersecting the first direction in in-plane directions, the scattering reflection region provided on the second surface, wherein a peripheral region is provided on the second surface and between the scattering reflection region and edges of the plurality of side surfaces, the peripheral region being a non-light emitting region of the light guide plate, and wherein a second groove is disposed on one side of an extended line of one of the plurality of groove arrays positioned on one end side in the second direction among the plurality of groove arrays and disposed in the peripheral region apart from the scattering reflection region.
