A method and an apparatus for electric resistance welding a strip-shaped electrical contact material and a brazing filler metal, which weld only a contact part in which the strip-shaped electrical contact material and the brazing filler metal overlap each other by applying electric resistance to a point, a line, or a surface of the contact part to reduce cooling time by applying less heat source and minimize a melted part, thereby preventing the entire shape of the brazing filler metal from being deformed and reducing a variation in thickness and width. Therefore, the method and the apparatus for electric resistance welding a strip-shaped electrical contact material and a brazing filler metal can remarkably increase the speed of production. As needed, the electric resistance welding method has a welding unit to apply electric resistance to a point, a line, or a surface. According to the present invention, the method for integrating a strip-shaped electrical contact material and a brazing filler metal can improve distribution of thickness and width of products by performing partial heating and welding; can increase cooling speed due to the decrease in thermal capacity; can reduce the length of equipment due to reduction of cooling section; and can reduce electric energy and remarkably increase quality and productivity as compared to heating the entire surface. |
