A second metrology method includes the steps of projecting a first image (31 Oa) and a second image (31 Ob), aligning the first image (31 Oa) and the second image (31 Ob) to form an aligned image (322) of a known size by synchronously adjusting a zoom factor ("M") for projecting the first image (31 Oa) and an angle ("an") for projecting the second image (31 Ob), and determining a dimension of a target object ("S") by comparing the aligned image (322) to the target object ("S").
